This is the first tip in a series of posts about improving your game’s replay value. Here’s the original description of this series.

Many games suffer from a problem that eats away at the amount of players they have. Most of the time, this is the natural course of events for all games. But, you can slow down this aging process of your game to keep it “alive” longer. You do this by improving its replay value.

Tip #1: Create Unlimited Possibilities

The only reason why most people play games even after they’ve beat them is to try beating it a different way. Adding unlimited possibilities to the outcome of your game will keep those people on their toes for quite a while.

So, what do I mean by “unlimited possibilities”? Simply put, I mean that you have to add features to your game that will never be the same every time somebody plays your game. They should be as randomized as you can make them. Nobody likes playing a game that they know how to beat without effort.
